POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Server Support Manager, the candidate selected will provide technical leadership and mentoring to the Server Support team in support and extension of the corporate Wintel infrastructure. The selected candidate will troubleshoot replication issues, password issues and have an understanding of auditing, AGDLP and Active Directory. The selected candidate will also be responsible for participating in scheduled detailed information gathering sessions with the development and support teams to provide feedback on direction and impact on the infrastructure. Selected candidate will also serve as a technical lead on strategic, infrastructure related projects to provide insight and direction.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Day to day Active Directory Implementation and Support
- Implementation of AGDLP throughout Wintel server infrastructure
- Participate as the Server Support representative in DIG sessions.
- Take an active role in formulating the long range technical infrastructure and architecture plans.
- Serve as technical lead resource on strategic, infrastructure related projects.
- Provide support, guidance, and mentoring to Server Support team members as needed or requested.
- Stay current with technical certifications.
- Provide input and direction on future integrations of new businesses into the Inmar organization and infrastructure.
- Create and maintain project plans for Server Support projects.
- Participation in defining maintenance weekend plans and activities.
- Participation in maintenance weekend activities.
- Provide general technical support for helpdesk tickets.
- Develops tests, installs and modifies computer software, such as operating systems, compilers, and utilities for multiprogramming, and telecommunications systems. Creates logic flowcharts, and encodes, tests, debugs, documents, and installs programs. Interfaces with, and supports the applications programming effort.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to analyze technical issues to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action
- General Windows -/2003/2008/2008R2 operating system expertise and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Active directory design, management, delegation, security, and disaster recovery for versions 2003, 2008, and 2008R2.
- Experience with Active Directory replication, site configuration, and subnets.
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting DFS/NTFRS and DFSR.
- Experience with Active Directory group management, group scope, and group methodologies such as AGDLP.
- Experience with Group Policy.
- Experience with Active Directory Certificate Services.
- Experience with LDAP over SSL and supporting Active Directories or AD LDS instances that are used by directory enabled applications
- Experience with server hardening, server security, and file server security.
- Experience with DNS, WINS, DHCP.
- Experience with domain migrations.
- Experience with vbscript and powershell.
- Experience with Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010.
- Experience supporting applications that require double hop authentication.
- Problem solving mentality and the focus to work on tasks that take extended amount of time to complete.
- Knowledge of VMWare desired
- Knowledge of UAG / FIM desired
- Ability to implement of additional or third-party vendor products
- Ability to install, configure, support and maintain server and other peripheral equipment.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures of Hosted Systems and Inmar Enterprises.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks requiring extensive follow-up and timely completion of all projects
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university or equivalent experience and 5+ years of progressively more responsible technical experience in support of corporate infrastructure.
