Director of Operations   Location: Winston-Salem/Greensboro, NC   PERM ROLE   Our client in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro, NC area has grown for over 15 years now and has also been profitable every year. They are the leading agency in the area centered on Interactive Marketing and Technology Consulting. They have engaged our firm to help them find a key position for the growth and delivery of solutions for their clients. This role will interact and lead operations of 5-8 team members that span multiple skill sets. Strong skills leading teams in and around Software / Interactive and Ecommerce solutions will be a must for this role. Lead a team of graphic designers, application programmers, business analysts, project managers, network engineers and help desk specialists Responsible for all personnel related activities in our production group (hiring, coaching, etc.) Manage weekly production & operation schedule to ensure weekly schedules are completed on time Manage schedules and workflow related to web projects, application development projects, IT projects Manage schedules and workflow related to help desk service and support Manage schedules and workflow related to providing estimates to sales team Directly manage sample of projects as needed to provide cushion for capacity issues Report on and be accountable for production related Key Performance Indicators Set strategic direction related to software, hardware and application development platforms Ensure deadlines are met, quality is delivered and budgets are adhered to

 

Required Skills ? Experience in project management of small, medium and large projects Knowledge of software development lifecycles Knowledge of Microsoft software and hardware platforms Must be extremely goal focused with ability to apply a sense of urgency when needed High level of problem solving & ability to prioritize and resolve multiple critical issues simultaneously Ability to clearly communicate technical issues in a non-technical way Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with many concurrent, active projects     Industy Experiance ? 5+ years experience in technology 5+ years experience in managing people and teams Experience with Internets, intranets, extranets, CMS systems and ecommerce required Experience in a web design / software development organization Experience deploying software technology solutions in an organization Experience leading teams around Interactive Marketing Technology     Education and Certifications Required 4 year degree Microsoft certifications a strong plus Project management certifications a plus Management certifications or formal training a strong plus
